Live Delivery: Summer / Winter Shipping and Live Items: (Last Modified 06/28/2007) For live animal orders, we recommend you use USPS express mail especially if you are in delivery zone 3-7. The United States Postal Service does not gaurantee arrival dates for Priority packages. On average, they are 2-3 days. Please do not select the Priority option if you have ordered live animals. Only the Express service is gauranteed to arrive in 1-2 days depending on your location. Styrofoam packing is used on all plants / fish. ** Please note, we have suspended our UPS service for a while due to lack of customer use and ever increasing cost. ** Use this link to check your your local weather for a 10 day temperature forecast. It will provide data to help you judge your shipping option. If your temperature is freezing, add a heat pack to your order. During the summer months, a cold pack is a must. PLEASE dont forget to select the COLD PACK! It is only $0.75.
Shipping Options & Address Errors PLEASE NOTE: The shipping options (Express Mail, Priority) are the service as offered by USPS. They do not mean we will ship your order "the next day" or "the 2nd day" etc after you place it. If you need to have your order arrive by a certain time, please contact us first by phone! We will not refund your shipping for failure to read our shipping policies. Such shipping adjustments are time consuming. Please make sure someone will be available to receive your order. It is better to have the plants delivered to your workplace if you are there to sign for them than to have them left in the sun on your doorstep at home. The plants don't need to be unpacked immediately if they are in a cool location. They will be fine till you get home. Heavy items or orders that require multiple boxes may result in slightly higher shipping charges than what will appear at the end of your checkout. PLEASE NOTE: Be complete and accurate with your shipping address. Please double check your address when the order confirmation email is sent to you. International Shipping : Puerto Rico and Hawaii: An urbanization denotes an area, sector, or residential development within a geographic area. In addition to being a descriptive word, it precedes the name of that area. This descriptor, commonly used in Puerto Rican urban areas, is an important part of the addressing format as it describes the location of a given street. In Puerto Rico, repeated street names and address number ranges can be found within the same ZIP Code® (e.g., CALLE 1, CALLE 2, etc.). These streets can have the same house number ranges (e.g.,1-99). In these cases, the urbanization name is the only element that correctly identifies the location of a particular address. Example: MR OSIRIS GONZALEZ MR PEDRO RIVERA Please use the above format for your address. It is better and recommended to select USPS express mail options to both Hawaii and Puerto Rico. If the order does not arrive w/in two days, contact us for shipping refund.
All returns for refunds on non-live items must be made within 15 days of reception. No exceptions. We will replace an item that may be non-functional once the original is returned to us. All mechanical and electronic products come with their own manufacturers one year warrantee. Read all instructions for details. Returned merchandise must be packaged properly to avoid damage. Please check with your choice of shipper for their guidelines. We do not refund used merchandise. Items purchased in error may be refunded unless otherwise stated. However, the merchandise should be returned undamaged and unopened and its in original sealed packaging with all paperwork intact. Some items carry a 15% restocking fee. Please note, we cannot refund shipping & handling for items purchased in error. You must have our permission to return merchandise. Otherwise, the merchandise will be declined and returned to sender.
